Amazon Dash Buttons

So my family was in the BETA program for testing these. Honestly, I haven’t really realized how handy they are until now. They are so damned easy to live with that you don’t realize how great they are. Does that make sense?

In any case, if you are an Amazon Prime member (and if you aren’t, what the hell is wrong with you?) give the buttons a shot.

And no, Amazon doesn’t pay me.

Details.

A multitool that’s not so damned big and bulky… You can actually carry this every day and not be a dork. I like that.

I’m not sure why it took so damned long for this one to be a reality… Essentially, it’s just a plug that is controllable by your phone through WIFI – making any device with a solid state on-switch a smart device.

So I got a genuine reader’s question over the weekend:

Ryan, I have $1000 to spend on a turntable and no time for research or messing with vintage stuff. What would you suggest?

Frankly, I prefer vintage stuff… and I enjoy the time it takes to find the right one and sort it out once I have it. That being said, if I were going to spend $1000 on a no-nonsense turntable that was ready to go, I’d get a Pro-Ject RPM3. It’s belt driven, simple in design, and comes with a Ortofon 2M Silver cartridge. Pretty hard to beat for the money.
