Everylane is interesting in that as a company, they are trying to be completely transparent. A good example of that is their chino. They openly list that the pant is made in China and even provide photos of the factory. On top of that, they list both their cost ($31.33) and their retail price ($68).

What’s weird about the Vans Ultrarange line is that they are crazy light, but really damned durable… I’ve got a solid year on a pair now and they still look pretty decent.

Here’s the thing… I wear t-shirts every single damned day. And my favorite, the American Giant Premium, runs $38. I think I have five of them and I feel guilty about it. So I just don’t think I could spend $55 on a t-shirt and feel great about it – no matter how good the story is behind the company that is making it.
