I have no idea if this pull saw is worth a shit or not, but I really like the design work done here. It’s good enough that I kind of want to drive over to Lowes and pick one up just to study it…
I’m not a huge fan of James Brand, but… I have to admit their design work is fantastic. And now, they’ve gone and designed a variation of one of my favorite EDC tools – the pocketable utility knife. Their effort looks really compact, but seems to be missing a key ingredient – pocket clip.
I don’t do much in the kitchen, but my wife recently got a “trio of knives” from Material and they damn good. In fact, you wouldn’t think $150 would yield such steel, fit, and finish. Highly recommended.
I love this idea. It’s basically just a simple folder with an interchangeable blade and a bit driver. If something like this ever hit critical mass and replacement blades were available everywhere, this would be the ultimate EDC.
Giaco is the guy behind the MakerKnife – a gorgeously designed, but inconsistently manufactured utility knife. And now, he’s come out with his own flashlight. Honestly, I don’t see a lot of ground being broken here.
I’m a huge fan of Pioneer. They use materials that others don’t dare to and they do it with a smart eye on design. And while I have yet to try their new pouch line, they look dope as hell. Recently, they launched a collaboration with WESN… Essentially, it’s a Pioneer Global pouch packaged with a titanium micro blade from WESN.
A pretty clever design for something that I don’t think has been perfect just yet – an EDC multi-bit screwdriver. This attempt uses a skeletized frame with magnets… Pretty good.
