iPad Solution

The Magic Keyboard from Apple is uber expensive, but also the best solution for making your iPad function more like a laptop. It does, however, have two shortfalls:

  1. It provides very little protection to your iPad.
  2. In order to return the iPad back to tablet mode, you have to ditch the keyboard all together – leaving your iPad entirely naked.

I’ve found an interesting solution. Pitaka makes a super slim carbon fiber case that allows your tablet to be covered while in or out of the magic keyboard. On top of that, it adds wireless charging by way of pretty strong magnets. And with that, you can use Pitaka’s iPad stand for desktop applications.

Nuphy Air60

The past three or four years, I’ve typed using only self-built keyboards. If I build it myself, I can use the materials and switches that feel right to me. I had two car batteries go bad last month. As such, I’ve spent the last week or so getting my shop ready to support new battery and keep them living. As part of that, I got three battery maintainers from NOCO. A buddy of mine recommended the NOVO Genius 5 and 10.

They are packaged beautifully, work perfectly, and feel as though they are made like a brick shit house. Couldn’t be happier.

NOCO is actually known for their battery jumpers, so I assume they are just as good.
