Red Pop

Another Kickstarter project that I am in love with is the Red Pop. Essentially, it adds a button to your iPhone and makes the act of taking a photo much more natural. I’ve seen some great photographers take some pretty incredible shots with the iPhone 4. An accessory like this makes it that much easier.

Teamwork Bags

This is a friend of a friend type of deal… The guys at Teamwork are trying to kickstart a new line of bags made with some killer materials discarded from different military avenues and the like. I desperately want one of the messenger bags. Details and a great video can be found here.

TAD FAST Pack Litespeed

A relatively new offering from the geniuses at TAD. It’s the FAST Pack Litespeed… Essentially, it’s designed to handle all of the requirements of the traditional Fast Pack, but it’s been narrowed and optimized so that the user has a full range of motion while wearing it. I’ve never owned a pack from TAD, but have always admired them. This one rules.

The HipstaCase

Basically, the HipstaCase takes your beautifully designed Apple iPhone 4 and make it looks like a shitty plastic camera from the 1970’s or 80’s. Seriously.

So why would anyone have any interest at all in the HipstaCase? It also features a very clever and usable tripod mount.

A friend of mine in Japan sent these over thinking I would be interested. Essentially, it’s a pair of scissors handcrafted in Japan by a group of folks that have been doing it for generations. There is something beautiful about their simplicity.

Check out the details on their site.

The idea of putting the sensor in the lens of a camera rather than the body isn’t a new one… However, this concept is the best that I’ve seen. Essentially, these smart folks built a full frame sensor inside of a camera lens that communicates wirelessly with the camera body. In this case, the body happens to be a modified iPhone. Brilliant… The future looks bright. Doubt me? Watch the videos:

Switch Hooks

This isn’t necessarily related to EDC, but does help you keep your EDC goods in order. It’s a simple idea that needs funding – It’s the Switch Hook. Essentially, the Switch Hook is a receptacle cover with hooks towards the bottom that allow you to store things like your key chain, bag, etc… Brilliant idea from a young mind.

Details on how you can get a Switch Hook or support the production of them here.
